Home Grown Gaston
2015

Gaston County Cooperative Extension is pleased to announce that Holy Angels of Belmont, North Carolina has been selected as the Home Grown Gaston community partner for 2015. Home Grown Gaston is Cooperative Extension’s annual event celebrating local foods and local causes. The event showcases delicious locally-grown foods that are prepared by chefs from local restaurants.  Festival attendees also enjoy live music and have the opportunity to meet and greet the local farmers and chefs who prepared the food.  This year the event will be held on September 1st from 5-8 p.m. at the Gastonia Farmers Market. NCSU Entomologists have determined the best way to control cankerworms is by interrupting the life cycle.
