N.C. Cooperative Extension has several opportunities for the Gift Experience you could be looking for and are available for youth to adults. Wanting to give your child the gift of a camping experience this summer. North Carolina 4-H camping teaches youth life skills through centers located from the mountains to the sandhills to the coast. Each year, more than 4,000 campers from across the state participate in 4-H camping programs at North Carolina’s 4-H educational centers. All our camps are taking deposits for the 2020 summer programs.

For adults interested in Beekeeping:

Gaston County Beekeepers Association (GCBA) offers a Beginners Bee Course: This is a 10-week introductory course that is designed to help learn what you need to know to get started in beekeeping. Classes are Mondays starting January 27–April 6, 2020 – 7 p.m. at the Citizen’s Resource Center – 1303 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034. Course Fee: $95.00 + $4.00 credit card processing and convenience fee.

Interested in Gardening, then the Extension Master Gardener℠ program may be what you are looking for. Join a network of passionate gardeners across the state who are dedicated to learning and sharing research-based information, enhancing their communities through horticulture, and connecting people with the benefits of gardening. The classes run from Feb. 25–April 7, 2010, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Registration deadline of Feb. 18.
