Description:

This 6-week course, developed by Stanford University, is for anyone with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or at risk for diabetes. Participants will learn how to prevent low blood sugar; prevent and delay complications of diabetes; eat well; use medications effectively; manage pain, fatigue and depression; solve problems and set goals.
Program is sponsored by Centralina Area Agency on Aging.

Program is free (valued over $400) - must be able to attend 4 out of 6 sessions.

Description: During the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program lessons you will learn how to make healthy meals on a budget and incorporate physical activity into your daily life. Lesson 7 is the make up lesson, where any participants who missed any lesson can make it up so they can receive their cookbook and other free "skill-builders".
