The HIGHLY anticipated and FONDLY awaited 4-H Super Summer Workshop series is here.
Every summer our 4-H youth programs engage out-of-school youth in several hands-on workshops that allow them to explore personal interests while also providing the opportunity to discover something new.
Classes are age specific to maximize the experience. Youth age is determined as of January 1, 2026.
Camps require participants to bring bag lunches unless otherwise noted.
Registration fee for all youth is $12.00.
All registration is done online through 4-H Online. New users and registrants must create an account. Returning youth will need to re-enroll for the year. All 4-H Online registrations must be approved before you can register for Super Summer.
Gaston County 4-H Super Summer 2026
Registration is by pre-payment only. We accept checks and credit cards. Payment must be made within 7 days of registration or youth will be dropped from the workshop. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and fill up quickly. No refunds will be given except when a class is cancelled. Price: $65.00 - Cloverbud Cookies and Bread- The littlest chefs in the house will spend time learning kitchen safety and the science behind making bread rise and cookies taste great. Youth will make and bake cookies and sweet bread. June 30, 2026 / 10am-2pm, Lucile Tatum Center, Ages 5-8; limit 12 youth
Price: $25.00 - Little Explorers: Bugs, Insects, and Creepy Crawlies- Do you like bugs? Do you wish you could get a safe up close look at the creepy crawlies without getting creeped out? Why not explore the wonderful, fun world of bugs with us? July 7-9, 2026 / 10am-2pm, CRC A & D, Ages 5-9; limit 15 youth
Price: $25.00 - Young Chef's Academy- It’s time to get cooking! Learn and practice your skills at chopping, slicing, and dicing, while creating delicious dishes to rival restaurants. Participants will learn how to stir-fry, create great noodle bowls, and soul-soothing baked goods. July 21-23, 2026 / 9am-3pm, Lucile Tatum Center,Ages 10-18, limit 12 youth
Price: $45.00 - Let's Get Hi Tech- STEM Camp- Let’s have some Hi Tech with buildable and operational devices that go beyond cell phones and computer games. Let’s play with Sphero, Indi Robots, and more. We will make a techie out of you yet. July 28-29, 2026 / 9am-3pm, CRC A&D, Ages 9-18, limit 30 youth
