N.C. Cooperative Extension purchased a fire ant bait spreader that can be rented out. The spreader can be mounted on a tractor, a UTV, four-wheeler rack, or truck mount and is for fire ant bait use ONLY.

There are two rental periods available: Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Monday. Pickups may be made after 10:00 am on the first day of the rental and must be returned no later than 9:00 am on the last day of the rental. As a result of County holidays, some rental times may be adjusted by N.C. Cooperative Extension, Gaston County Center.
Rental Rates
For use in Gaston County the rate for one rental period is $20.00.
For use outside of Gaston County, the rate is $30 per rental. The rental is not confirmed until payment (online, cash or check) is made in full.Rental Period for 2025
