In preparation for the 2023 Great Southeast Pollinator Census happening August 18 & 19, we have partnered with The Master Gardener Group of Gaston County (MGGGC) & Creekside Nursery for a Pollinator Photo Contest! The winner will receive a $100 Gift Card to Creekside Nursery & $100 Visa Gift Card courtesy of MGGGC!
From August 11 - August 24 Gaston, Lincoln & Cleveland County NC Residents of all ages will be able to submit up to 3 photos of local Pollinators from the following categories: Bees, Wasps, Flies, Butterflies/Moths, & Other Insects (beetles, dragonflies, etc). Online voting will be held Aug 25-Aug 31 on the Gaston County Cooperative Extension's Facebook Page (@GastonExtension). Winner will be announced and contacted Sept 1. N.C. Cooperative Extension, Gaston County Center employees may not participate.You can submit your photos here!

Rules: Submissions are open August 11, 2023 - August 24, 2023 to Gaston, Lincoln & Cleveland County NC Residents of all ages. All photos will be loaded onto Facebook (@GastonExtension) for voting. Voting will be open August 25, 2023 - August 31, 2023. The public will be responsible for choosing the winner by 'liking' the photo(s) they want to vote for. Photo with the most votes will win. Votes will be tallied on September 1, 2023 and the winner will be announced and contacted. Grand prize is $100 Creekside Nursery Gift Card + $100 Visa Gift Card.
