How to become a 4-H volunteer:
-Contact Christie German, Gaston County 4-H Agent, at clgerman@ncsu.edu to express interest and learn about volunteer opportunities.
-Register in 4-HOnline2.0 (must be completed annually). To assist with completing your 4-HOnline account, here is a step-by-step guide: Setting up 4-HOnline Account- Adult Volunteer
-Watch the Minors on Campus training video embedded in your 4-HOnline2.0 registration (must be completed annually).
-Fill out the online background check forms once they are emailed to you (must be completed every 3 years).
-Complete initial 4-H Volunteer training with the 4-H Agent. A training must be attended annually.
The 4-H year runs January-December. All volunteers MUST be re-enrolled in 4-HOnline2.0 in January each year, regardless of when they registered in 4-HOnline2.0 the previous year.
