Every year the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Gaston County Center and Community Association (ECA) gives out at least three $500 scholarships to Gaston County students. In 2023 they collected enough funds to award five $1,587 scholarships. This scholarship is for Gaston County residents who are graduating high school seniors or students already enrolled in college.

At this time, the scholarship does not have an electronic option and must be  returned to Lucile Tatum Center (959 Osceola St. Gastonia NC) no later than March 15, 2024. Winner will be selected and notified by May 10, 2024. Please share this information with students that you feel may qualify and/or apply for this opportunity.
