Hosted by N.C. Cooperative Extension, this full-day, hands-on event is designed for beginners, seasoned homesteaders, and anyone curious about living more sustainably.


Join us on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM at the Citizens Resource Center in Dallas, NC for a day packed with practical workshops, expert-led sessions, and meaningful learning you can put into action right away. Your $40 registration includes a delicious lunch, plenty of take-home resources, and access to all sessions.


This year features an exciting mix of returning favorites—including Soap Making and Sourdough—along with a full lineup of new workshops like Advanced Vegetable Gardening, Beekeeping, Small Livestock Production, Slow Food in a Fast-Paced World, Medicinal Plants & Mushrooms, Cut Flower Production, and Managing the Homestead Flock (chickens, ducks, & turkeys).
