We are excited to welcome Alexandria "Alex" Ruth as our new 4-H Youth Development Agent! Alex brings a strong background in agricultural education, youth coaching, and community outreach. She holds a B.S. in Animal Science from NC State University and an M.S. in Agricultural and Environmental Systems (with a focus in Agribusiness and Food Industry Management) from NC A&T State University.
Alex is passionate about creating hands-on educational opportunities that help young people build confidence, discover new passions, and master essential life skills. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her family and dogs. Alex is eager to connect with local 4-H members, families, volunteers, and community partners to build strong, innovative 4-H programming that will engage all youth, whether they live in our more suburban areas or our rural communities. There is a 4-H program or project for all Gaston County youth.
