Dining with Diabetes

Did you know that diabetes affects over 37 million Americans? That’s approximately 1 in 10 people, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Whether you’re managing diabetes, pre-diabetes, or are at risk, support and education are essential in navigating this chronic condition.

N.C. Cooperative Extension is here to help with our national “Dining with Diabetes” workshop, a comprehensive, four-session online program designed for individuals who want to better manage their health. This free series begins in February and runs Wednesdays, February 12 – March 5, from 12-1 p.m. EST.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to manage blood sugar levels
  • Ways to prevent and delay diabetes-related complications
  • Meal planning strategies and recipe ideas
  • How to manage pain, fatigue, difficult emotions
  • Communication skills to work with family and healthcare providers
  • Practical problem-solving and goal setting

Each session will include recipes, goal-setting exercises, and a live Q&A where participants can ask questions and interact with others. All sessions will be recorded, so you can watch them at your convenience.
