Collapse ▲For over 100 years, the Extension and Community Association (ECA), a dedicated volunteer group of N.C. Cooperative Extension, has been positively impacting our communities. Originally formed to support rural NC farm women and families, ECA has grown into a dynamic organization committed to personal growth, community service, and skill-building. From food preservation education to offering a wide range of programs and resources, our volunteers continue to make a difference in communities across the state.
Event Overview:
ECA Beginnings: Join, Learn, and Serve is an informative session designed to give you an in-depth understanding of the history and legacy of the Extension and Community Association. Learn about its foundation in supporting North Carolina’s agricultural communities and how the organization has evolved to meet the needs of today’s families. During this session, you’ll also gain insight into ECA’s current organizational structure and discover the many opportunities for involvement in community-based projects.
Whether you’re a new member eager to get started or someone interested in expanding your engagement, this workshop will provide you with the knowledge and tools to embark on your journey with ECA.
