Better Living Series Fall 2023 WorkshopsWe’re pleased to announce that a wide variety of Family & Consumer Science workshops have been scheduled for Fall 2023  – ranging from in-person health topics to home canning. Thanks to the help of Extension Master Food Volunteers, we are offering in-person workshops (offered at no cost to participants) monthly at the Main Branch Library, Gastonia and the Kiser Senior Center located in Bessemer City. These workshops will include food demos on a variety of topics:  using digital pressure cookers and Instant Pots, local foods, the Mediterranean Diet, and holiday foods.

Living Healthy with Diabetes will be held at First United Methodist Church (aka Common Ground), Stanley and the fall prevention workshop, Matter of Balance is scheduled for First Baptist Church of Gastonia  in collaboration with Centralina Area Agency on Aging and Gaston County Adult Services.

Plus, there are a variety of webinar topics that provide the convenience of watching whenever is most convenient for you such as local foods, dehydrating foods, and using air fryers.
